Divisions

The Divisions tab on an event splits the fleet into the groups you score and rank separately — e.g. "IRC 1", "IRC 2", "One Design 470".

Steps

1. Open the event, go to the Divisions tab.
2. Add a division: give it a name and, if the event uses classification rating, its class.
3. Assign boats to divisions as they enter (or let ORC import do it from the entry list).
4. Use Clone divisions to copy a set of divisions from another event instead of rebuilding them from scratch.

• Every division needs a rating configuration before entries can be scored against it.
• Overall groups pool several divisions into one combined ranking; divisions themselves stay scored separately.
• Special categories create an isolated ranking pool cutting across divisions (e.g. "University", "Double Handed") — not the same thing as a division.
