Rating configuration

The Rating tab decides how each division's corrected time (or class) is calculated.

Two kinds of rating

• Classification rating (fixed) — divides boats into classes (e.g. IRC 1, IRC 2). Does not calculate a corrected time by itself.
• Scoring ratings — up to 7 slots, each with a system (e.g. ORC, IRC, ToT, ToD, PCS variants) that IS used to calculate corrected time. You can give a slot a custom display label.

Certificate eligibility

Control which certificate types (e.g. ORC, IRC) are accepted for entries in this event — the scoring system choices in each slot are filtered to match what you allow here.

Steps

1. Open the event, go to the Rating tab.
2. Set the classification rating if the event uses fixed classes.
3. Configure one or more scoring slots with the rating system(s) you're scoring against.
4. Set which certificate types are accepted.
5. Save.

Locked configuration

Once entries already exist for the event, rating configuration locks to protect already-scored results — an admin who needs to change it after entries exist should contact a system administrator.
