Start groups & starters

A race's Starters page ("Start → Finish → Result Calculations") is where you define start groups — the sets of divisions that start together — and see who's in each one.

Steps

1. Open a race, go to Starters.
2. Add Start Group: give it a name (e.g. "Start 1", "IRC Classes"), a start date and time, and assign one or more divisions to it. A division can only be assigned to one start group per race.
3. The starter list for each group fills in automatically from the divisions' entries — the boat, sail number, bow number, class, and division show per row.
4. Optionally set a sailed distance override for a group if it differs from the race's default course distance (used for average-speed style calculations).

Notes

• All divisions need to be assigned to a start group before the race can be started live; the page tells you which ones are still unassigned.
• Deleting a start group is confirmed first — it removes the group's starter list for this race.
